This autumn scene stimulates all the senses. Bittar has captured not only the subject matter, but also the movement of the wind, the smell of the atmosphere and all the heightened sensations one experiences while going down a wooded roadway. French artist, Pierre Bittar, completed his first oil painting at the age of 10. He won 1st prize at his graduation from the Art Academie, the gold medal at the Salon of French Artists in Paris, an honorary prize at the Salon of Marine Painters in Paris, the International Albrecht Durer prize, 1st prize at the Leonardo de Vinci Art Academy, 'Best Landscape' at the Salon of French Artists, a gold medal in Nice and a gold medal in the city of Le Chesnay, outside Paris. Bittar continues to study and develop the Impressionist way of painting 'en plein air'. |
