Charles Fredrick Lowcock was essentially a genre painter, but he also produced a number of studies of classically attired girls in gardens or interiors. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1878 to 1904, where titles included 'A Vestal', 'A love letter', and 'A Dancing Girl'. His work was also to be seen at Suffolk Street and other London galleries. |
