George Edward Lodge

George Edward Lodge was a painter of birds and animals in oil, tempura and watercolor. He was a friend of the artist Archibald Thornburn, whose work is similar in style. He exhibited works at the Royal Academy and the Society of British Artists at Suffolk Street. Lodge was also a naturalist, and portrayed birds and animals with real understanding.
