Leopold Rivers R.A, R.B.A

Landscape painter, who exhibited at the New Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of British Artists, Suffolk Street, from 1873. He was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1890 and the Royal Academy in 1873. He was the son and pupil of William Joseph Rivers who exhibited between 1843 and 1855 at the Royal Academy and British Institute. His painting of "Stormy Weather", was at the Tate gallery in London in 1892.
